InspirationSyedi Abdulqadir Hakimuddin Moula has been the guiding moral force behind our efforts to organize this
Hakimi Expo--2011 in Burhanpur.
Syedi Abdulqadir Hakimuddin Moula came to Burhanpur in 1729 A.D.to spread the word of the Prophet ( SAW ).
Hakimuddin Moula was considered one of the most learned men of his being proficient in urdu, sanskrit, persian
and arabbic. Moula also translated a few sanskrit texts into arabic and compiled them in a book called " Qalila wadhima".
Moula started establishing the practice of collecting a nominal amount from each family within the community to be spent for
the welfare of all. This custom is know as "Sabil--Ul--khair--Barakat" due to which today Bohra community are
leaders in all spheres of life.
Syedna's Prudence About Business

The Dawoodi Bohras have always been an essentially "Traders" community believing in strong tradition of self-employment, trade and business. Our beloved Aqa Moula has himself taken upon the task of reorienting the business attitudes and ethics of our community towards a more Islamic Socio-eco system As our beloved Aqa Moula has repeatedly urged the Mumineen to conduct business in synchrony with present day mercantile Principle and explore Modern investment according to Islamic values.
So through this Expo it is our efforts towards Aqa Moula's Long Cherished dream of making Dawoodi Bohra community a self-employed and a self-sufficient community.
